GENERAL

Do I need to have a booking to visit the Croft?

No, you are welcome to visit the Croft and enjoy the grounds, bike trails, shops & cafe without a booking. If you wish to stay overnight we ask you to make a booking in advance as we can become very full very quickly.


Are you dog-friendly?

Absolutely! We love dogs. They need to be kept on a lead at all times, and all doggy business picked up and binned.


Do you have parking?

Yes, we have lots of onsite parking. 


Do you have electric vehicle charging points?

Yes, there are four electric charging points in our car park


I have a complaint, who should I contact?

Any complaints should be made to the Croft manager Nino Battersby either by email (nino@comriecroft.com) or by phone (01764 670140).


CANCELLATIONS

For all non-group bookings:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the holiday start date will be refunded minus the 20% deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded.


ACCESSIBILITY

Is Comrie Croft accessible to those with disabilities?
Everyone should be able to enjoy Comrie Croft whatever their ability.  We understand for some people with disabilities going on holiday means a little more planning and a few more questions.  We got our onsite expert (a wheelchair user herself) to make this guide.  Let us know if there is anything we haven't covered.


ACCOMMODATION

Eco-Lodge: Steading

Are dogs allowed in the Eco-lodge Steading?

Yes, you are welcome to bring up to two dogs per room (£10 per dog per night). Please note that dogs cannot be left in rooms unattended or be in the kitchen. They need to be kept on a lead at all times and any doggy business needs picked up and binned.


Are Eco-lodge Steading bedrooms shared with other guests?

No, all rooms are private. 


Is the Eco-lodge family-friendly?

Absolutely, most rooms have a king bed and full size bunk beds. Our largest rooms can sleep up to 6 people, a couple of them can also have a cot/roll out bed too. There are high chairs in the kitchen too.


Do bedrooms have private bathrooms?

Yes, all bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms.


What shared spaces do I have access to?

There are two lovely wee snugs with books and games. As well as a large kitchen diner and courtyard with BBQ and fire pit (wood available to buy from our Farm Shop).


What happens if there is an event on in the Steading?

If there was an event happening e.g. wedding, the steading rooms would be unavailable to book.




Eco-Lodge: Farmhouse

Are dogs allowed in the Farmhouse?

Yes, you are welcome to bring up to two dogs per room (£10 per dog per night). Please note that dogs cannot be left in rooms unattended or be in the kitchen. They need to be kept on a lead at all times and any doggy business needs to be picked up and binned.


Are Farmhouse bedrooms shared with other guests?

No, all rooms are private. 


Is the Farmhouse family-friendly?

Absolutely, the rooms have a king bed and full size bunk beds. Our largest room can sleep up to 6 people and can also have a cot/roll out bed too. There is a high chair in the kitchen too.


Do bedrooms have private bathrooms?

Yes, all bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. There’s also an extra shower room downstairs.


What shared spaces do I have access to?

There is a lovely lounge with books and games. As well as a kitchen diner and walled garden space.


What happens if there is an event on?

If there was an event happening e.g. wedding, the farm house would be unavailable to book.




Camping

Are dogs allowed in the campsites?

Absolutely! We love dogs (£3 per dog per night), max of 2 dogs per van/pitch. They need to be kept on a lead at all times, and all doggy business picked up and binned.


Are campervans and motorhomes allowed?

Our campervan pitches are suitable for vans up to 6m long. Rooftop tents are also welcome in this area.


Are caravans and trailer tents allowed?

Unfortunately no, we do not have suitable pitches for caravans or trailer tents.


Can I park my campervan in the carpark?

We can only have people staying overnight in campervans in our designated campervan area.


Are there any pitches with electric hook-up?

We are an au natural site, no hook ups or chemical waste/grey water disposal. 


Are the campsites family-friendly?

All our areas are family friendly, although some pitches are further away from our facilities than others. The Low Meadow is closest to toilets/showers and bike park, while the Far Away Meadow is around a 10 minute walk away. In the summer we have the Summer Camping Field which allows cars to park close to the tent area.


Are campfires allowed?

Mostly. Campfires are welcome in every camping area apart from the Summer Camping Field which is a smoke free environment. Please use the fire pits/bowls provided. Firewood is available from the Farm Shop (9am - 5pm). Remember to have means to extinguish the fire nearby and never leave it unattended.


Can I have a BBQ?

Of course, however, do not use disposable BBQ’s. For other BBQ’s please ensure they do not scorch the ground. 


Can I park my car next to my pitch?

No, we don’t allow cars next to tents. This lets everyone enjoy the freedom to relax and for the children to play without fear of traffic. We have drop off areas near the meadows for easier access with your kit, cars need to go back to the car park straight after drop off. 

There is an exception in the Summer Camping Field where cars can be parked around the outside of the tent area.


Is there a noise curfew?

We have a shhh time of 11pm where we ask campers to keep noise and chatter to a minimum.


Can I have a speaker to play music?

Sorry, no, we don’t allow amplified music.



Nordic Katas

Are dogs allowed in the Katas?

Absolutely! We love dogs (£5 per dog per night), max of 2 dogs. They need to be kept on a lead at all times, and all doggy business picked up and binned. Please do not leave any dogs unattended in the Katas at any time.


Is there a noise curfew?

We have a shhh time of 11pm where we ask campers to keep noise and chatter to a minimum.


Can I have a speaker to play music?

Sorry, no, we don’t allow amplified music.


Car I park next to my Kata?

There are laybys near the Katas where you can stop to drop off any luggage. Cars need to go back to the car park as soon as you have unloaded.


Do the Katas have electricity?

Most do not have mains electricity, however there are battery powered lights inside. Kata 5 (our accessible Kata) is connected to the mains to allow for mobility and medical devices to have power.


Can I have a campfire?

Yes, no problem. Each Kata has a fire pit, firewood is available from the Farm Shop (9am - 5pm) . Remember to have means to extinguish the fire nearby and never leave it unattended.


Is there a kitchen?

Each Kata has an outdoor kitchen and covered deck with cupboard space and a two ring gas hob (gas provided). On the deck is a picnic bench. We provide all basic cooking and eating equipment (including a coffee pot and all important bottle opener!) for 6 people.


Is there a toilet?

You have your own outhouse with an eco toilet next to your Kata. Showers and mains toilets are available behind the reception building.



EATING & DRINKING

Tea Garden

Are dogs allowed in the Tea Garden?

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome inside and outside. They need to be kept on a lead at all times.


Is there table service available?

No, the Tea Garden is take away based.


Is there indoor and outdoor seating?

There is a small indoor seating area, outside you are welcome to use any of the picnic benches under the pole barn.


Are you open all year round?

Unfortunately not. The open season is Easter to October. After this time there is usually a winter cafe open on reduced hours.
